About the accommodation
Located within the fortified fortress found in the Axente Sever location, the place features a large room and an interior floor that is basically a completely open space. In total, you have three places to stay, turning it into a suitable place for both couples who want to spend a romantic holiday in the city of Axente Sever and families who seek to discover the beauty of these wild areas.
The bathroom of the apartment is equipped with a shower and a hairdryer, together with a fridge and an LCD TV. One of the most important characteristics is the view though – even though the studio is technically located into the defense wall of the old Axente Sever fortress, its windows offer a relaxing and breathtaking view over the fortified church within the fortress. At night, everything gets bigger and the illuminated church offers a real static show.
Travelers who wish to visit more than the Queen Elisabeth Studio can discover the Fortress Museum and the inner court of the fortification which is, indeed, a perfect place to spend your summer evenings. Also, our tourists can visit the tower of the fortress and discover an exquisite view that will surely remain in their memory.

Axente Sever Fortified Church
Medieval Apartments Frauendorf Studios are located just inside the Fortified Fortress of Axente Sever.
Built at the beginning of the 14th century, the fortified church and its defensive walls are still in very good condition today.
Tourists arriving at the fortress can visit the tower where the mechanical clock, installed almost 200 years ago, is still functional. Also within the fortress is the museum which includes a gallery with objects such as cooking tools, folk costumes, weapons, construction and agricultural tools, which reveals the history and tradition of the Saxons who live here. Also here is the gallery of paintings on spider web by the medieval artist Emil Mureșan.
Last but not least, the guests of the fortress are impressed by the church and the still functional organ.

- By car: DN14, at approx. 14 km from Mediaș, Sibiu County
- By train: Get off either at Mediaș station and then by one of the Regio trains running between Mediaș and Axente Sever stop
