We will visit the most beautiful churches and fortified fortresses in Transylvania. Some of them over 700 years old! Along with the locals, we will discover the traditions that survive to this day, but also the legends and mysteries that surround these wonderful constructions.
Our journey on the road to the fortified churches begins in the village of Moşna. Here we will visit one of the most famous and old fortified churches in southern Transylvania. Built more than 500 years ago, few know that the church is one of the favorites of Prince Charles of Great Britain, being the first he visited in Romania.
Before leaving Moşna we will stop for a tasting of traditional products at one of the most beautiful farms in this region. Here we will discover the process of cheese preparation, we will learn how to prepare pickle and jam jars, and we will taste several organic dishes made right at this farm.
Before leaving these dream lands, we will stop at one of the most well-kept households in these places. Here we will take part in a traditional Transylvanian lunch that will include the dishes that make Transylvanian cuisine famous all over the world. We finish the meal with a brandy, a wine or a glass of natural homemade syrup.
Our journey among the fortified fortresses of Transylvania ends at probably the most beautiful fortified fortress: Biertan. Built in the 15th century, the fortress was over time one of the most important, Biertan being one of the few Transylvanian settlements that had the right to organize animal fairs.
